MICROLOT-Java Sunda Hejo
MICROLOT-Java Sunda Hejo
This coffee comes from a place called Sunda Hejo out on the western side of the island, where they grow a lot of Java coffee. The "Kingdom of Sunda" was settled by Sudanese folks back in the day. This coffee is fully washed, so it's way cleaner-tasting than most other Indonesian beans. Usually, Indonesian coffees are kind of earthy because they're wet-hulled (semi-washed), but not this one.
When you brew up a cup of this coffee, you'll get hints of chocolate sweetness, creamy hazelnut, and a touch of fruity tang all mixed together in a bold flavor. If you are a fan of a Sumatra dark roast, this is a more interesting option. I’m thinking, a French press and a good book (or the news) and you have a perfect Saturday morning. If you haven’t tried this coffee, you should probably throw a bag in the cart.
